

The report also found that in 2018, Ms Berejiklian breached public trust, breached the ministerial code and engaged in serious corrupt conduct by failing to disclose a conflict of interest when she promised $20 million for a new recital hall for the Riverina Conservatorium of Music in Mr Maguire's electorate. Giving evidence to the inquiry, then deputy premier John Barilaro said most of those present "would have done everything differently" had they been aware of the relationship between Ms Berejiklian and Mr Maguire. In the exercising of her official functions, it said Ms Berejiklian was influenced by her relationship with Mr Maguire or by a desire to "maintain or advance that relationship".
